Historic Residence
This historical 3 bedroom 3 bath home is a beauty, but the floor plan required some readjustments to transform the home into a space designed for living life well. The home is settled neatly in an historic neighborhood and the interior renovations reflect the beauty and polish of its exterior, with a nod to its historic roots, while still bringing modern utility and design to the space. BTGA designed the new layout so that it allows for better flow within the home, and the design elements of each space transition smoothly between them. In addition to creating a main gathering space, the homeowners wanted to make the home suitable for hosting friends and family overnight. Brewster Thornton Group Architects (BTGA) designed a lofted swing space providing the homeowners with additional area that can convert into a spare bedroom if needed. This project was recognized at the Best in American Living Awards (BALA) for the category of Entire Home
